Getting to know Aftab Khan??

  • He is from Bengaluru, India
  • He has been working in the Frontend/Web Development for the past 8+ years
  • He leads a team of 10+ developers working on the Hotelier Platform for India's biggest Travel Portals - MakeMyTrip & Goibibo
  • He has been a keen proponent of open source, contributing to a fair few in the past
  • Presently his sole focus is on making the best platform through which Hoteliers across India & World would be able to seamlessly Onboard, List & Cater to travellers around the world

Things he is proud of

  • InGoMMT Hotel Extranet Portal

    • He had migrated this out of a Django app into a Standalone WebApp. Read Here
    • From there, him & his team has gone on to build mutiple Hotelier focussed features, recently reaching a Milestone of having 100 different modules
    • He & his team did this while continuing to migrate the application to React. Read Here
    • Ultimately after 4 years, the Entire app is completely migrated to React!!

  • Phoenix UI Platform

    • He started his career in web, working to build an Internal Platform at his first company
    • He created a UI framework, that builds the webpages entirely out of a JSON based structure
    • He learnt the ins & outs of Webpack Loaders, Plugins, AST, Writing meta-code transforming JSON structure into React code which powers the Webpages
    • He got an excellent foundation of both React, Webpack & Frontend Development in general
