Political_Tweet_Negativity

Evaluates the negativity of tweets in relation to candidate(s) that the tweeter follows - results from this study covered in Salon and the documentary film Bernie Blackout.

The code relies heavily on the features of SQL Server 2019 on Windows and its integration with python, R (and soon, Java). Porting this to SQL Server on LINUX will be mostly harmless, but I can't help with LINUX issues.

I prefer installing software to be a few clicks and wait till its done. This is not that. The eventual goal is making it straightforward enough to easily install and replicate my work. Though one step will always take time... downloading as much Twitter data as I have in some of the reports I posted on Twitter. It will take significant run times and disk space.

Your first step is to read and follow the file Installation Steps.txt

After that, you will have some data with scored tweet. The various summaries I made are listed in List of Queries that Generate Summary Tables.txt. They are a small sample of the possibilities you can make.
