hi,
I upgrade my os to mac ox 10.6 and reinstalled the ImageMagick and RMagick.I got these exceptions and don't know how to handle:

You have an old version of GraphicsMagick installed. Upgrading it, and RMagick, should make this go away. The current stable release is 1.3.7 according to: http://www.graphicsmagick.org/

[PATCH] image_directory doesn't prepend RAILS_ROOT to an absolute path

It forces that image directory should be under RAILS_ROOT.But there are some cases to save images outside RAILS_ROOT.
For example, capistrano deployment case is one of the cases. Capistrano deploys an application to /.../releases/20XXXXXX/ and create symbolic links to /.../current/. Deployed applications, /.../releases/20XXXXXX/*, should share its image directory outsize its RAILS_ROOT. (e.g. /.../shares/images/)In the case, we want to use absolute path not relative path from RAILS_ROOT for image directory.
I have a solution that image_directory doesn't prepend RAILS_ROOT for passed path that is absolute path.

anyone found a sollution? I got Rmagick working in irb. require 'RMagick' there gives true. When I'm using it in my rails project it fails to load giving me:
ERROR :: FlexImage requires the RMagick gem. http://rmagick.rubyforge.org/install-faq.html
/Library/Ruby/Site/1.8/rubygems/custom_require.rb:31:in `gem_original_require': no such file to load -- RMagick (MissingSourceFile)

Works fine for me under Snow Leopard. And sadly I can't seem to help about a ruby segmentation fault...
As for you jewilmeer, you solve this? Can you do a "require 'RMagick'" from a ./script/console and have it work? Becuase that is all the plugin does. When that fails is the error is generated.
