A simple log, with the ability to sort the notifications by domain and time.

Mumbles is a mildly popular notification system for GNOME that we may want to support at some point. http://www.mumbles-project.org/

Apparently, Snarl doesn't support remote URLs (yet). One of the Snarl guys tells me that it'll be added in the next version. If anyone is inclined to fix this now, you could download icons to a temp file, give that path to Snarl and immediately release them (Snarl makes an own copy so it isn't locked).

The current grey firefox notifications are incredibly ugly. And if person doesn't have Growl on mac (but who doesn't?), it will fail completely right now. Fixing this issue would be extremely useful because we could also submit it as a patch to Firefox itself.

I think Growl-like XUL notifications on the top right would look good.

Firefox 3.6 (the release is still quite some time away) has support for this but we should probably support to it on 3.5 too. It should be easy to do with a C XPCOM module.
