This is a quick fork of Rails's boxed 'scaffold' generator that computes JSON by default, along with xml/html

To use, rename this repo's directory to:

  ~/.rails/generators/service

Then, you can:

  script/generate service shirt name:string size:integer

And you'll get a scaffolded thing that parses CouchDB-style JSON-bodied requests. This works (hackishly?) with request.body.string and ActiveSupport's from_json.

Additionally, the route:

  /<table_name>/schema.json

will give you a JSON object that describes the columns in the table, with their names and the type they were scaffolded with.
