• First GitHub Magazine Ad

This is a bit of old, but fun, news. Back in August we bought a full page ad spot in The Rubyist, a print and digital magazine for Ruby programmers. As I have an extensive print design background, this was a nice opportunity fire up InDesign and create a piece for one of my favorite design media: the printed page!

Nice use of Futura Condensed, Tom – you really can rock that font.

Looks really nice. If there’s a next time, properly capitalizing “Git” and “Subversion” would make it even better ;)

@henrik Git is often left uncapitalized in official documentation – see http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/everyday.html or http://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/user-manual.html. No excuse for Subversion though :)

defunkt, I can see it capitalized in the header ;-) In the content they’re just refering to git command (just like when I’m telling a friend how to use SVN I tell him “svn checkout …” :P).

@amused I disagree, check out the two links.

@amused Also, every word in the header is capitalized.
