GitHub is officially live. Thanks for the awesome beta everyone.
While you can sign up or upgrade your account now, it’ll be one week (April 17th) before we start enforcing limits. Think of this as a trial period.
We’re really proud of the site and have so many ideas for the future – this is just the beginning. While we’ve come a long way since going into beta, rather than pontificate on the journey I’ll just let our happy users speak for themselves.
Update: Oh yeah, new features: comments on commits, network graphs (check the blog post), and Campfire & Lighthouse integration.

Pricing is better than I thought, there’s still a free version :P. It doesn’t make sense to me why there’s a limit on private repos though. No extra resources go towards making them private, or am I mistaken?
Well at lesat this is a nice, and much sexier looking, alternative to http://repo.or.cz, and since people can pay for the service it probably won’t die :)

GitHub is awesome. It comes with very new concept and is excellently done. I swear by GitHub. I am proud to be one of the earliest users of GitHub. Every feature of GitHub is awesome and provides great value. I hope GitHub becomes of of the most respected code repository hosting service and social programming network.
