you can specify multiple builders in your project config file. just include a section for each builder you want.

after thinking about it overnight, I think you are correct with excluding the error message check. since this is the base file that others extend from it should only check the lowest common denominator, in this case exitstatus and for abort message.

for instance, the cerberus rspec builder only checks for "0 failures" as a matcher

rspec has its own builder and doesnt use what you see in ruby_base. if you are running rspec, use the rspec builder instead of rake.

I see what you are saying, but does cucumber or other testing frameworks return an exit code of 0? I am under the impression that they still return 0 when completed unless the script itself bombs out?

we've actually added a new ruby builder that allows for a custom success / failure / brokenness matcher. Ruby base is just assuming that the build command is via rake
