The goal of this project is to provide a unified and comprehensive support for various Google Data Client APIs. There 
are a number of ruby apis but they are disparate and incomplete. Check out

This is an effort to change that by incorporating existing work and encouraging more collobration (with the help of 
github).

PHP has pretty decent library from Zend:
