Fields need to be pushed onto a stack as they are specified, otherwise the parser is quite broken for multi-level, multi-field queries. I'll fix this first thing tomorrow before finishing this documentation. We recently started working in git and I ran into some major issues with syncing the git repository with subversion. The problems seem to be behind us now so hopefully everything should remain stable from now on.
