Make sure all directories exist on each deploy which are necessary for 
subsequent commands to succeed, since some SCM's won't save empty 
directories

Make the server definition itself available to SSH channels, rather that 
just the host name. Identify servers by their complete credentials in 
logs, rather than simply by hostname.
