This problem first spotted by Paul Sant and Jameel Syed.

Python's unicode support is confusing; there are probably still errors lurking in here.</message>

    <message>UK postcodes shouldn't match lesser quality data if a better quality match has already been found.

In other words if &quot;A12 3BC&quot; has a match, then there's no point trying to match &quot;A12 3&quot; - it just results in duplicate results of lesser quality.</message>
