The docstrings in animation.py are in the numpydoc format which matplotlib does not use, resulting in many warnings and strange formatting when building the docs.

Any updates? Do we want this for 1.2? I am assuming we don't necessarily need to hit the "feature" freeze (of tomorrow)?
