This is first steps to removing pylab from our docs

I assume this will be controversial

Addresses matplotlib#3115
 - removed from pylab import *
 - changed some wording

This is awesome. It addresses quite well, IMHO, the conversations we had at Scipy. 👍

Sorry, I should have been more communicative. These were changes @efiring did not like, they should have gotten more attention before merging.

That's OK; I will take a look at the end result after the merge, and if I still don't like what I see, we can discuss it, and/or I can make a PR against 1.4.x.
