Midgt

Convert between integer and a shorter alpha-numeric correspondence

Midgt is a Ruby implementation of a simple, reversible algorithm that encodes numeric IDs into mixed-case alpha-numeric sequences that can be used as a drop-in component in web applications. Prevent the Link Rot Apocalypse with Midgt by mixing it in with your routes!

Usage:

Midgt.encode(94573) # => nBo
Midgt.decode(nBo) # => 94573
