OpenTYPOlight

What is OpenTYPOlight?

OpenTYPOlight is a fork of TYPOlight started from version 2.7.2.

What is TYPOlight?

TYPOlight is an open source web cms written in PHP5 and licensed under LGPL. Website: http://www.typolight.org

Why was TYPOlight forked?

TYPOlight is a solid web cms, but TYPOlight's main developer Leo Feyer holds sway over the development of TYPOlight and does not give public read access to their versioning control system. There is a commercial update service for TYPOlight.

We are committed open source software includes an open minded development process, so people can take part in every part of the software.

Goals of OpenTYPOlight?

  • Updating the software should be free and the power of GIT gives you the posibilty to upgrade and downgrade the software as you wish.
  • Develpers can take part of the develpment process. New features, documentation and bug fixes will be integrated into the project.
  • Changes in TYPOlight will be tracked and backported into OpenTYPOlight as much as possible.
