My Emacs configuration
Accumulated over the years. Trimmed, extended, trimmed again.
Compatibility
I tend not to give a monkeys' about compatibility - I know this works with Emacs 23+, and probably with version 22 as well, on Macs. It'll probably work on other unix platforms too.
