User Manual

  • My passion right now is The Farmer Project, a massive undertaking to become outstanding in my fields - https://rainleander.github.io/ is where I keep track of the progress of it and Wake Up Beauty It's Time To Beast, Other People's Computers, Speak Softly / Carry a Big Stick, and A Penny Earned - five projects that will probably last the next three years. Or so.
  • My core principles are to embrace radical transparency and fail often; while I sometimes struggle with one, I'm rather successful with the other.
  • My core values are compassion, honesty, and open-mindedness.
  • I identify as a pansexual non-binary trans feminine queer person; my pronouns are they / them.
  • I grew up / lived in thirteen states in the US before moving to the Netherlands for ten years. And then I moved back.
  • I am a native English speaker, am comfortable with Dutch and understand some Japanese, Swedish, Spanish, and German.
  • I have an undergraduate degree in dance and a graduate degree in information technology.
  • I had an entire dance career specializing in contemporary, modern, and butoh with my own company and plenty of collaboration, touring, and performance.
  • I have disappeared into a box stuffed with swords. And a pike.
  • I'm figuring out how to navigate the intersection of compassion and growth - something to do with awareness, knowledge, and experience.
  • I'm also figuring out how to be less angry - something to do with frustration, compassion, breathing, and daily green flips.
  • I have three children - First Minion (9), Girl Twin (6) and Boy Twin (6).
