I don't know WHY but the Make code that replaced the "#!/usr/bin/perl" at the top of the scripts with the Correct Thing stopped working. I have a hacky patch to it now in place, but it uses SED instead of PERL. Oh, the "doit" target is me testing something (the Perl solution, which WORKED everywhere else EXCEPT for in the "install" target).
