tin
A database so tiny, its name had to be shortened.
What
A sequential paradigm for databases & its demonstration implementation.
Why
Designed for cheap (as in $$), high-performance (as in Gbit/s) access — but well, which database system isn't these days?
When
This strain of the paradigm was first used in production in 2008, as a way to serve terabytes of financial data daily, at a major stock exchange.
What??
More details coming soon here, and during the no:sql(east) conference.
Phonetical Nitpicking
“tin” is pronounced: /taɪn/, as in “tiny”.
