Should I use this for a web app to translate my audios into text?

Hi! I'm interested in this project because it has a lot of potential.
I'm not sure if it's the best fit and the simplest way to achieve my goals, though.

What I want to achieve may seem rather simple, I'd like to have (self-host) at least a web app that converts audio files into text.
That sounds like something Whisper can do.

Are there ports of this I can simple take, self-host and use as I see fit? Or should I rather use another OSS project to make things simpelr?
The main benefit of self-hosting is privacy, as I intend to put some personal stuff like conversations with my accountant, banker, etc. I don't wish to use a SaaS for this kind of personal yet sensible use case.

I usually self-host open source softwares using https://www.cloudron.io/ which makes things super simple and not-too-techy.
