Teams Bug: Links in app description from manifest not opened properly

Teams version 25122.1202.3647.7912
Occurs in native Teams client on Mac and Windows.

1. Go to Teams app store

2. Open any app, such as Microsoft Polls

3. Click a link from the app description, e.g. in Polls App: "Get started" or "Get help"

4. An in-app browser opens the link full-screen.

5. Error: This in-app browser cannot be closed (at least not in an obvious way). Only way to continue is to close Microsoft Teams app and start from scratch.

Suggestion: It would be more convenient for users if this link would be opened in the default browser.

Addition: When such links are clicked in Microsoft Teams browser (not native app), it is also very inconvenient because then the whole browser moves away from Microsoft Teams. Instead these links should always be opened with target="_blank"

@sebiJo , We have made attempts but were unable to reproduce the issue. As it appears to be related to the product, we have added the required tag accordingly.

@sayali-MSFT : We can reproduce the issue in Microsoft Teams Desktop version. This really needs to be changed. The link is opened in Teams in fullscreen. The user is completely thrown out of his/her workflow at this time. Please open links from the manifest description in a new tab in the browser.

We were also able to reproduce this behavior. Needs to be fixed asap since it’s a dead-end for the user 😧😧😧

Update: The bug seems to be gone in the latest Teams client.

However, when Teams runs in the browser, every link in the app description has now a visible addition "{:target=_blank}". Also, the target=_blank does not work there, it still opens in the same browser tab and moves away from Teams. See screenshot, this is visible for all apps.

Also have this issue, it doesn't appear when viewing apps in the Apps search results, however does appear when viewing the 'about' page of an installed application.

Edit: Since writing this it seems to have disappeared? The issue had disappeared and then reappeared 20 minutes ago. Now it seems to have disappeared again. Fingers crossed this means it's resolved for good?

Seems to be fixed here as well
