Unclear how to use `StartCallParams.source`

Looking to place a call to a bot, and not seeing the data we add to the source parameter appearing on the receiving side on the bot. The docs only say that it "informs about the source of the deep link" (see here) with no further explanation.

Can you elaborate on how the source parameter is intended to be used, and if it should be carried over in a call to a bot?

Do you mean you are not all the data "StartCallParams" you send over, or just don't see the "source" parameter? From the doc, it lists source as optional string. So ideally it should no matter.

To clarify, we're making a call to a bot and specifically looking for the "source" parameter. We were wondering if we could send some meaningful data through about the call source, but the docs seem a little nebulous about what should go in that field, and anything we do try to poke through doesn't seem to arrive at the bot.
