Allow to open Peek with just space

Description of the new feature / enhancement

I'm surprised it's still not possible, as that's how it works on macOS. I'm aware of workaround like modifying json config file, but it won't allow me to use space in search or while renaming a file. Also tried QuickLook but it's a terrible alternative, laggy and takes long time to load, shows text on white background while in dark mode. So why it's still not possible natively?

Any alternative solution I can use to keep using Peek with space, while retaining a possibility to use space in Explorer as usual?
