Azure Data Studio no longer Supports SQL Server 2012?

It appears that support for SQL Server 2012 has been "removed" from Azure Data Studio, as I've noticed that I am now getting a prompt stating that the version is no longer supported. Although 2012 is coming close to End of Life, it hasn't reached it yet, so is it intended to drop support of 2012 several months before 2012's actual extended support ends? I can't see anywhere in the release notes to denote that support has been removed.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Connect to a SQL Server 2012 host via the Server's Pane
2. Following Model appears in the bottom right:

   The server version is not supported by Azure Data Studio, you may still connect to it but some features in Azure Data Studio might not work as expected.

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes✔/No

@LarnuUK we recently introduced a change to show this "unsupported version" notification so that users are aware that some features may not work correctly on down-level server versions. There are known incompatibles with SQL Server 2008 and earlier versions, but none that I'm aware of with SQL Server 2012. The known issues are that the version of SMO we use will query for DMV columns that don't exist on those server versions and thus those metadata queries will fail to execute causing some features to raise exceptions.

The actual supported server version matrix hasn't changed. We allow connections to unsupported SQL Server versions (rather than blocking these connections) in case the tooling is still helpful to users in this situation. We've forwarded this issue to our PM/docs team to clarify the supported SQL Server version in the end of life documents. @alanrenmsft will update this issue once the docs have been updated.
