unable to apply Schema Compare if build failed

Type: Bug

1. Import a project from SQL Server 2022
2. Make changes so that the build fails
3. Start build and let it fail
4. Try to apply the changes back to SQL Server 2022
5. Get Apply schema compare changes failed error

When the build succeedes it is possible to apply the same changes as tried before to the server.

@noethneuberger I believe it's by design that schema compare cannot be applied if the sql project build failed, same for publishing a sql project. The changes can only be applied if the database model is valid.

Is it possible to add an option to do this?
The errors that i get on the build are related to references to a database to which i don't have access to, is it maybe possible to suppress these errors and force the build to succeed?

Should this occur even when using Schema Compare to update a database project from a source database? Using "create project from database" works fine, but when I then try to use schema compare to apply changes that are in the source database the build fails and the changes don't update in the local database project. The build issues are in the source database itself, there is no way I will be able to get it to build successfully, so I need a way to update/apply changes even though the build fails.
