Azure Data Notebook Python 3 Kernel issue #26228

I have a problem saving a new Notebook when Python 3 Kernel is selected.

I have no problem running Python scripts in the new Notebook, but when I save the Notebook, the ‘Kernel’ changes to “Loading Kernels…” and the ‘Attach to’ changes to “Loading contexts…”

I also get the following message:-

"Could not start session: Invalid response: 500 Internal Server Error"

There is nothing listed in the Problems, Output, Terminal or Tasks.

If I close the saved Notebook, shut down ADS and then reopen, the problem persists, and I can no longer run the Python scripts.

If I do try, I get an additional message in the bottom right corner telling me that “The session for this notebook will start momentarily” and nothing further happens.

Basically, the Notebook just hangs.

My current workaround is to copy the code out into another new Notebook and run it non-saved.

As I will have to pass this and several other Notebooks over to other people to run, I need to resolve this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
