Icons for Pitch and Rate

Since everything within sugar activities use icons instead of words to specify buttons or functionalities.

Should I design icons for pitch and rate as well? Which are similar to Sugar's designs, so that they can be used here.

I'm pretty sure that's already done. Widen your search. In particular look at and test the Measure activity.

Thanks. I agree. Also, it is not true that everything we do is icons, we also have tooltips, labels, and a translation infrastructure. Children will learn by repeated pattern recognition what the words mean, or they may arrive already knowing the words, or how to pronounce from letters. Options for changing the pitch and rate of speech gives an opportunity for the teacher to talk about these things, and also for children to learn by experimentation.

So please mock up how you would improve the drop-down part of the screenshot in your base comment.

@quozl Please check the icons used instead of the pitch and rate. When we hover over the icon the tooltip says the name of the icon as well.
