Physics based librairies for power lines studies

Welcome to our power grid full of...

phlowers logo

🙋‍♀️ A short introduction - what is our organization all about?

Phlowers is a collection of open-source tools for studying power lines, Python powered.

The suite includes:

  • mechaphlowers: a package dedicated to mechanical and geometrical calculations for overhead power lines.
  • thermohl: a package focused on thermal analysis of overhead power lines: it allows to compute temperature or maximum intensity transiting in lines.
  • stellar: an offline web application (PWA) based upon mechaphlowers to do power line analysis.

👩‍💻 Useful resources - where can the community find docs?

🛹 Up for trying it?

Take a look to the in-browser jupyter (a.k.a JupyterLite) demo notebooks and try it out locally !

🌈 Contribution guidelines - how can the community get involved?

  • Join the community on Slack, ask for help, report bugs, help other users, provide feedback, present your use cases, etc.
  • Contribute in the code soon; we just need a few months to establish a solid foundation.
