I've mentioned that I think a literature review would be a valuable contribution to the field. At a minimum, I think it is an important first step before publishing other material. Perhaps the literature review with substantive commentary is it, and no other is needed or appropriate at this time?

Likely the existing drafts can form the structure and initial information for a literature review.
