Copilot item does not appear on the Editor Menu in Xcode #232

Hi @ChristopherLarsen, I believe there are two ways to open Copilot chat. Could you please review the steps outlined here and double check again: https://github.com/github/CopilotForXcode?tab=readme-ov-file#how-to-use-chat? If you're still unable to access it, could you please upload some screenshots to help us troubleshoot this issue? |
Thanks for looking into this! Excited to try it. Uninstalled Copilot, making sure to wipe the brew as well as DMG version. Got Accessibility perms, no Extension perms, despite the switch being flipped for it. hth |
@ChristopherLarsen I was having the same issue, but realized that the option under Editor will show when you open one of the files in the editor. Can you see if that helps? |
@rishabh-jain You are correct! The Copilot menu only appears when editing text files! Thanks!! |

OS: Mac OS Sequoia. 15.3.2 (24D81)
Source: Both DMG and using brew to install
Followed install instructions,
Expected: Copilot menu item should appear on the Editor Menu.
Actual: Copilot Menu item does not appear.
