Feature Description

You can mention someone using @ somestring and then a suggestion box pops up listing people by login, name and sureName. You can filter this list by typing more of the login or the names. But then the used string is only @ somestring.

It would be a great addition if name and sureName could be also shown, e.g. like this:
@ userid (name surenName)
@ bob1234 (Bob Builder)

Some companies or installations might not use real names for logins. Having the added information really helps to identify the relevant people quickly.

Places to be used:

  • Issue text box
  • Issue assignments
  • Wiki textbox

On that note, why are there two different @ search/filters? The one in the text box differs from the one for the assignments.

Imho, we should do it like GitHub and show a user profile card while hovering/focusing a @mention in any markup rendering.
