I'm using the (now only available for windows) tool "Git Extensions" for many years to view git repositories - it is the best (in my humble opinion) free git GUI I could find.
But I do my work on linux and it always bothered me, that I couldn't find an equally good or similar tool for this OS (that is free, to be honest), though I looked at everything and though I was willing to compromise and and only require very few features.
Until now. SourceGit seems to fit my needs perfectly (and looks a lot like "Git Extensions"). On first view, it might be even better than the tool I'm used to, for example SourceGit has side by side comparison.
So, thank you very much for providing this tool!
