Suggestion: Align .Net and C# versions

I'm not sure where the appropriate place to request this is... but it might be worth considering skipping .Net 11-14, and just have the .Net version match the corresponding C# version. I know there are other languages supported by .Net, that said it's often confusing when looking at C# languge features, then having to look at/for the corresponding .Net version that matches.

Aligning both at the next version (15) might be worth considering.

Triage: We have had some discussion about versions but there are a lot of version numbers that don't align including f#, VB, C#, .NET, nuget, etc. At this point, we're not planning on trying to align them all as doing so would be significant churn but it is something we do discuss from time to time.
