Gmail only loads in specific workspace

• I have checked that this issue can be reproduced once I removed all my Mods and Custom CSS.

What happened?

I have five workspaces which I use for various clients, admin and personal activities. These have a global essentials block which crosses all five and pins in each to provide access to function specific activites. GMail in pinned in my personal (Default) workspace.

Yesterday, GMail started failing to open. Going to https://mail.google.com/u/0/#inbox would result in only a white screen. no errors, no content, no 404. Just white (see below). I was able to access my emails in firefox when I checked t them this morning no problem but not in my pinned tab.

I have since discovered that Gmail will happily open in my third workspace but not in the other four, all of which have the white screen. Kinda weird.

Every other website seems to work fine including mail.google.com/u/1 which is my alternative account.

Note that the video only shows the first three workspaces as inserting those redaction panels was quite tedious. The other two act the same as the first two.

Expected behavior

All websites will function consistently accross workspaces

Actual behavior

Four of five workspaces fails to load mail.google.com/u/0/#inbox and one workspace opens it without issue.

Steps to reproduce

Gosh, I'm not sure how to make this reproduce. I'm open to suggestions.

quick update to note the following:

If I create a new gmail tab in the third workspace it will work. if I pin this to essentials it will continue to work even if I move to another workspace and remove it from essentials having it drop into the tabs list for this workspace. Refreshing it will continue to successfully load but opening a new tab and navigating to gmail in the same workspace alongside the working one will still fail to load.

Creating a gmail tab in the functional workspace and moving it via the right click menu to another workspace will allow it to continue functioning. If this tab is then added to the pins in that workspace it will continue to function even on close of the browser session and reopening of a new browser (so I have a functioning pin now, but it required some finessing).

Creating a gmail tab in a failing workspace and moving it to the functional workspace will not allow it to function, even on refresh.

Is there anything in the console when Gmail loads with the blank screen (Right+click -> Inspect -> Select the console tab)?

Seeing it works in a workspace where you have assigned a default container (work), but not in the other workspaces without a container, makes me believe it might've to do with corrupt cashes or site cookies. Those are 'contained' and different between containers.

In a non-working workspace (no container) while on the blank gmail site try clicking the padlock and then "clear cookies and site data", close the tab and try again.
