FizzyCrave is a full-stack e-commerce web application for beverages and drinks, built using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
The project is organized into two main directories:
- client: Frontend application built with React, Vite, and TailwindCSS
- server: Backend API built with Node.js, Express, and MongoDB

Clone the repository

Install server dependencies
cd server npm install

Configure environment variables Create a
.env
file in the server directory with the following variables:PORT=5000 MONGO_DB=your_mongodb_connection_string JWT_SECRET=your_jwt_secret CLIENT_URL=http://localhost:5173 CLOUDINARY_CLOUD_NAME=your_cloudinary_cloud_name CLOUDINARY_API_KEY=your_cloudinary_api_key CLOUDINARY_API_SECRET=your_cloudinary_api_secret

Install client dependencies
cd ../client npm install

Create a
.env
file in the client directory:VITE_API_URL=http://localhost:5000

Start the backend server
cd server npm run dev

Start the frontend development server
cd client npm run dev

Open your browser and navigate to
http://localhost:5173
- The frontend can be built using
npm run build
in the client directory - The backend can be deployed to any Node.js hosting service
- MongoDB should be hosted in a production environment (MongoDB Atlas recommended)
