Problem Statement

AWS detectors are using an outdated version of the AWS SDK for Go. It's unmaintained now and EOL is coming up on 31/07/2025 (https://github.com/aws/aws-sdk-go)

Proposed Solution

Upgrade to using v2 of the AWS SDK for Go
