One trouble I had on my first run was to find out what URL the gh-pages would be available at

Describe the solution you'd like

To make that easier, this action could post a comment saying "The deploy page is available at http://..." in a way users can click and visit the recently deployed page

This might be available in the GH API as a "best guess", however, please note this action doesn't deploy anything, it just writes the workspace as a commit to a branch — it's another GitHub-triggered implicit action that takes that push event and does the deployment — and that one logs the site published.

If you look in your Actions tab, you'll find a separate "pages build and deployment" runs right after your own workflow; these runs will have the deployment URL noted in the job summary and logs. The URL (or list of deployments) should also be listed in your repo sidebar, and if you follow the link to the environment, there also should be URLs listed where the deployments went.
