I'm Haidar Ali, a pragmatic Software Engineer who likes to build things. I mostly build backend systems โ the stuff users never see. Occasionally, I create user interfaces with obsessive care because I'm very opinionated about how they should look and behave.
I also work on open-source projects for the dopamine rush. I've built Pocketer, a Google Chrome extension for managing Pocket items. I'm also building Leisurely, a simple time tracker and ambient sound desktop app for focused work.
Currently, I'm working on a platform for authors to create beautiful art. And, trust me, there's no AI involved.
I have a soft spot for writing technical articles about Coding, Linux, and DevOps. So far, I've published 200+ articles.
- ๐ Introspection vs. Reflection
- ๐ชฃ An Introduction to ELK Stack
- ๐ Close File Descriptors in Bash
- ๐ Bidirectional Clipboard Piping in Bash
Iโve used plenty of tools over the years, but these are the ones I trust the most.
