Sure, there are multiple ways to watch the events, you can either use a plugin or go with the built-in message queue for event subscription in Java-tron.

There is a summary for these methods here, except eth_* APIs.
eth_* APIs I think is similar with TronGrid API, the user must call it periodically to retrieve new events.
