Hi Anto. Bad jokes aside, please let us know what RL is to you, as I have never heard the short term before (Except for Ringers Lactate as I am a chemist). |

Thanks for the fast response.
I would like to implement Reinforcement Learning to Age of Empire.
Since this is for research purpose, I don't really need a multiplayer version, but just one that can play against the computer.

Hi Anto.
OpenAge would not be suitable for a Ringers Lactate (RL) simulation as the two things have practically zero things in common.
Bad jokes aside, please let us know what RL is to you, as I have never heard the short term before (Except for Ringers Lactate as I am a chemist).

Awesome, that sounds like a lot of fun. It has been a couple months since I last compiled the project, and to be honest, I would advise against using OpenAge in it's current state and maybe look to other project, though I can see the appeal in openage as you would be able to do the AI scripting (Here referring to the management of "AI" units ingame, not the RL) in Python. If you are a master student in CS and knows your way around CPP, then it could potentially be possible. |

Thanks for the honest response.
We have 2 weeks to come up with a proposal. So, I don't think it will be feasible. As you work on creating video games simulators, could you recommend me a project on which you think it would be possible to implement Reinforcement Learning?
Also, I would be interested in helping openage in the future.

Well, I think it really depends on a lot of things.
How many are you and how much time do you have? I can tell you that for sure it is not just a:
"Compile openage and then start writing python scripts" job. You would need to help the project get into your desired state first, as it currently is not rendering (I don't know if you need rendering, but I think it would help a lot to see how it progresses).

Hi, I am a CS student and for our final project we are asked to implement a RL solution. I was wondering what is the state of the openage. Would it be ready to be used as a simulator for RL and then play 1v1?
