New lines

The output is resolving to a single line of text, except for with ul s which include \n in them. Those newline characters don t play well with xmllint.

accept optional argument of 'book level'

for instance, allow someone to pass in content that should start at either book or chapter level. And I guess sect1 etc but that s kinda ridiculous.
