Modern text editor for terminal

I found wave when I was looking for a modern terminal. I want a proper text editor and command blocks, rather than the arcane and 1950's style terminal that Wave seems to have adopted... Are there plans to get a proper text editor terminal UI? I am considering implementing my own plugin to "fix wave" myself.
After getting a proper text editor, command blocks (keep command and output in its own block), the next most important feature is AI assisted auto-complete. Is wave going in that direction any time soon, or is it up to me?

Anyone working on this?

UPDATE: I see you guys even added monaco to the codebase but are only using it for preview. I am probably going to make a new term view, call it "modern terminal" which will use monaco.
