Selecting a part of user message results in message being edited

If one wants to copy part of their message sent in panel chat and selects some text, they end up in edit mode accidentally.

Maybe if the selection is non-empty it shouldn't jump into edit mode, or (less desirable but maybe cool) it should jump to edit mode but keep the same selection

yeah, we had some conversations about this and we reckoned that users could just copy from the input box, but it's basically an extra step now (to select or close)

How about don't enter edit mode on a click+drag? Or when there is a selection?

As polish, maybe we make sure to always enter edit mode on double-click. Otherwise I can accidentally drag to select something while trying to click, then I keep clicking trying to edit, but I'm accidentally triggering a double-click which selects the word or line. Sorry that it's hard to see what I'm doing here but the way to get out of it is to deselect text, pause long enough to not trigger a double click, then click.
