Auto confirm for MCP tool call in extension using 'vscode.lm.tools' APIs

When the extension uses the VS Code MCP tool, a modal dialog appears at each step of the tool call. If there are multiple steps, several dialogs will be shown, which can be a bit disruptive. Is there a way to enable auto-confirmation or auto-rejection for these dialogs within the same session?

@roblourens I wonder what you think here, I'm actually on the fence about this confirmation overall since the user can't see the parameters given to the tool and so on. It'd be a good chunk of work to bring it to parity.

What kind of extension is this? Tool calling from non-chat extensions isn't something we've really prioritized and I'm not sure what the expectation is

We are developing the AI toolkit (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=ms-windows-ai-studio.windows-ai-studio) to help users build agents using GitHub model or Azure AI Foundry. Currently, we are using the vscode.lm APIs to access tools registered in VS Code. For tools that use an npx command, we see a confirmation dialog appear with every tool invocation. However, for OAuth-based tools, this dialog does not appear. Is this by design? Is there a way to control the dialog pop-up logic?
