Prerequisites

  • I have checked the Wiki and Discussions and found no answer

  • I have searched other issues and found no duplicates

  • I want to request a feature or enhancement and not ask a question

The problem

I was thinking, it would be a nice feature to have and probably is easy to implement too?

Namely, a expandable blank box or single boxes to add with + and - to remove in the filter list edit menu where a text freely could be put to, eg. notes or links to the filter list or direct href link to a webpage.

Many or almost all of my lists are automatically compiled with HostlistCompiler into couple of bigger lists every night, mostly to purge duplicates and save resources, convert them to Adblock style rules, exclude my own rules from them and so one, then linking to a path on my local machine as the list URL. Whenever there is a domain which has been blocked by any of the list, I've to ssh into the machine where AdGuard Home is installed, nano the compile configuration file(s) and open every single link used to compile it, search for that blocked domain in (sometimes) all lists and check if there is a reason why that domain has been blocked. Not enough of that, those links are leading directly to a filter list, not the git page where I could check issues or conversations about the reason of being them blocking, directly.

Putting link or links to those webpages/github/gitlab/codeberg services where most all of the lists are hosted would save me a lot of time on a weekly basis.

Proposed solution

A box in filter list edit menu
