Description
I used pip install opencv-python
to install the latest cv2
(version: 4.10.0.84) on Windows. The return value of cv2.getBuildInformation()
says the libjpeg-turbo
is not built with SIMD support. I can build from source by myself to enable the SIMD, but I think it would be better if the pre-built wheels could directly support it.
Expected behaviour
cv2.getBuildInformation()
should return:
Media I/O:
ZLib: build (ver 1.3.1)
JPEG: build-libjpeg-turbo (ver 3.0.3-70)
SIMD Support Request: YES
SIMD Support: YES
Actual behaviour
It returns:
Media I/O:
ZLib: build (ver 1.3.1)
JPEG: build-libjpeg-turbo (ver 3.0.3-70)
SIMD Support Request: YES
SIMD Support: NO
Write here what went wrong.
Steps to reproduce
- example code:
import cv2
print(cv2.getBuildInformation())
- operating system: Windows
- architecture (e.g. x86): x86_64
- opencv-python version: 4.10.0.84
Issue submission checklist
- This is not a generic OpenCV usage question (looking for help for coding, other usage questions, homework etc.)I have read the README of this repository and understand that this repository provides only an automated build toolchain for OpenCV Python packages (there is no actual OpenCV code here)The issue is related to the build scripts in this repository, to the pre-built binaries or is a feature request (such as "please enable this additional dependency")I'm using the latest version of
opencv-python
