Why I cannot execute filprofiler?

I'm getting error below when I try to execute "fil-profile run test.py"

Sorry this didn't work. I will open a bug and try to release a fix next week; it should handle this case more gracefully. I'm guessing however that you're not in a regular Linux environment. Is this WSL, or a container, or something else?

Or maybe it's just a version of Linux that the library I'm using doesn't support? In any case, I'd appreciate more details.

I'm executing the tool in a RHEL 6.5 machine. The tool does not work on this OS system?

Ah, it's probably that, yes. RHEL 6 is pretty old (originally released in 2010), and it's no longer getting security updates of any sort (https://endoflife.date/rhel) so you really want to upgrade. I can't promise Fil will run on RHEL 6, and beyond a certain point I won't try to support it given it's so old.

However, the error you saw should still be handled better, so I will still try to get that fixed next week, and maybe that will be sufficient for it to work for you.

Hi, can you try the latest Fil (2022.10.0, just released) and see if it works for you?
