etcd --version shows 3.5.21 for 3.6.1-0 in ARM64 platform

Hi, when running this

➜ docker run --platform linux/amd64 registry.k8s.io/etcd:3.6.1-0 etcd --version
etcd Version: 3.6.1

Go Version: go1.23.10
Go OS/Arch: linux/amd64

we get version 3.5 for 3.6 in ARM64 platform, our etcd nodes are graviton based, because this issue, we cant upgrade, could someone please explain if this is expected?

I can reproduce this on my end. This is definitely not expected. Created an issue from this discussion: #20191

I completly missed your second message linking to the issue in k8s project, sorry. I see the right people are already taking care of the issue, hopefully will be fixed soon 😊

If you don’t want to wait for the fix, you can try using the image from https://gcr.io/etcd-development/etcd, this one should be correct.
