Commands that trigger the issue
git init
git submodule add git@github.com:<username>/repository
git submodule update --recursive --init --remote --progress
Expected behaviour
The nested submodules should be updated to the latest commit.
Actual behaviour
The progress bar freezes randomly after a few seconds, with no sign of any download progress despite good internet connection. This only happens on the newest version. Downgrading to 2.49.0.windows.1 fixes the issue immediately. The difference with issue #5663 is in the version where this bug happens.
